Foresters recognized as ALL-Americans



Sr. WR Kevin Davis was just named a 1st team All-American by the Beyond Sports College Network (BSN) as a wide receiver. He was joined by Junior Pete Scaffidi who was named to the Honorable Mention Team.

Davis, who broke the school single season record in receiving yards, also tied the single season record for receptions will graduate in May, and just recently participated in the All-American Bowl at the Metrodome in Minneapolis, MN. Davis finished the season with 77 receptions for 1,286 yards and 11 touchdowns. Davis also had 3 rushes for 48 yards and 2 TDs. Davis finished his career ranked 3rd in school history in receptions and yards and 2nd in touchdown receptions on the all-time lists.

Scaffidi, the junior signal caller for the Foresters, led an offense that broke almost 20 school records. Including the single season totals for passing yards, completions, passing touchdowns, among them. Scaffidi finished the season with 2,910 yards passing with 31 touchdowns, as he completed 62% of his passes. Scaffidi also rushed for 4 touchdowns and was the third leading rusher on the Foresters.

Davis and Scaffidi were high school teammates at South Elgin High School prior to joining up at Lake Forest in 2010 when Scaffidi transferred to LFC.

"Both of these players are extremely deserving of these awards. They are hard workers who work at being not only great football players, but great people as well. There are few players in our program that have been as dedicated to the development of our overall program, and I couldn't be more excited that they have been honored as All-Americans," said head football coach Jim Catanzaro.
