Happy 4th of July

Happy 4th of July from the Lake Forest College Football Program!

It is a great time to be in Lake Forest. Few communities celebrate Independence Day quite like Lake Forest. A large parade through downtown, a magnificant concert series including 16 Candles and KC and the Sunshine Band, a carnival, and one of the most breath-taking fireworks displays in the country. Our coaches and 15-20 of our players will be in town taking in the sights and sounds. In addition two of our players will be participating in the annual pie-eating contest!

As we prepare for hot dogs, cotton candy, and all the other delicacies that come with the 4th, let us not forget the men and women who have and are defending our nation and its interests.

This past year our team adopted the 113th Field Artillery Brigade B- Battalion, and sent them a number of care packages in conjunction with our "Trick or Treat for the Troops" event. The troops have returned from a successful tour overseas, and are back state-side. We would like to thank them for their service.

Have a great weekend, and remember only 5 weeks until football camp starts!!
