The Lake Forest College Football team is starting the semester off strong. In addition to working out in the new 10,000 sq. ft. Wes Dixon Weight Room in the renovated Sports and Recreation Center, the Foresters have begun their involvement in the local community.
On Thursday afternoon, the "Offense" went to Forrestal Elementary School in North Chicago. In an effort to continue supporting the efforts of the North Chicago Community Partners and their after-school program. The "Defense" will be heading up to follow in their footsteps in two weeks.
The children had the opportunity to "workout" with the football players, as well as participate in a number of relay races. In addition, there were some question and answer opportunites for the student.
On Sunday, January 23rd, the Forester's will be participating in a joint effort with the Lake Forest Athletic Department, S.N.A.P., and the Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association to help bring "Sled Hockey" to our campus.
