Foresters Release 2015 Schedule!

Lake Forest College will enter the 2015 season on a two-game win streak. The Foresters will open the season against defending Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference champions Wisconsin Lutheran College. The Foresters defeated the Warriors in the season opener in 2014. The Foresters, won their second season opener in a row dating back to 2013.

The Foresters will then embark on their longest road trip of the year, as they will head to Minnesota to play at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter. This will mark the first time that the Foresters have travelled to Minnesota for football since 2004 when they defeated Carleton College 16-10.

After a bye week, the Foresters will begin Midwest Conference cross-over play at home against Beloit College. The Foresters will celebrate Heroes Day on the 26th. An annual tradition of celebrating our local civil servants as well as our military veterans and troops continues at Lake Forest College. In partnership with the Alpha Phi sorority, the Foresters will continue to collect items for care packages to send to our troops overseas.

The Foresters will venture to Waukesha, Wisconsin on the 3rd of October to face Carroll University for the final time as a MWC opponent. The Forester senior class is 2-1 against the Pioneers and hope to continue their success at Schnieder Stadium.

Midwest Conference South Division play will kick off with the Foresters Homecoming game at 2pm, on October 10th. Homecoming will feature the Foresters facing the Prairie Fire of Knox College. The rivalry has had an intense flavor to it over the last decade. Since 2004, the Foresters are 8-2 against the Prairie Fire, including a current 5 game winning streak.

The Foresters will follow the Knox game with a trip to Monmouth College. This will be the first time that the Foresters have faced new head coach Chad Braun. Lake Forest was successful their last time in Monmouth winning 28-24 on a game clinching interception by Dominick Campagna in 2012.

The Illinois College Blueboys return to Farwell field for the first time since 2012 on October 24th. The Foresters will host their annual "Play for a Cure" event. The annual kickoff for the Foresters Relay for Life fundraising event is always a highlight for the campus community.

Halloween festivities will kick-off at the Forester football game against Cornell College. In addition to Halloween, the Foresters will also celebrate Senior Day and Parents Day for the class of 2016.

The Foresters will finish the regular season on the road in Iowa as they travel to Grinnell College on November 7th. The Foresters ride a three-game winning streak against the Pioneers. The Foresters are 19-10-1 against Grinnell all-time.

Midwest Conference Championship weekend will take place on November 14th. The Foresters will travel to their seeding match-up from the North Division for a 1pm tilt.

"Like every season, this year will be full of challenges in between the white-lines. Beyond divisional play, I am excited about the challenges that we will face during our non-conference play. WLC was a conference championship team in 2014, and Gustavus was ranked in the top 20 of the country at one point. I am excited to see our team perform and fight through adversity during the season. We have a great senior class, and I am hoping to see them end their career on a high note, playing an important game on the 14th of November," commented Coach Catanzaro.
